Scope and Contents
This file contains a booklet of poems by KatieAnn Troyer, Poems from the Old Log House, about her life and the lives of her family members, written between 1958 and 1968. Several poems are dedicated to relatives. There are thirty-one rhyming verse poems, photocopied and compiled by Troyer's family. Some entries are typed, though others are handwritten. Two entries are in German. The booklet also contains three newspaper clippings that concern family members or depict horses and farming activities.

Biographical / Historical
According to a biography on Page 2 of her booklet Poems from the Old Log House, KatieAnn Miller was born March 14, 1891, and was married to three people: (Sandy) John J. Detweiler (1910-his death, 1951); Ananias Miller (1954-his death, 1955); and Benj. Troyer, whom she married in 1956. At the time of the booklet's printing, the Troyers lived in Fredericksburg, Ohio.
