Gregg and Beasley Family Papers - Newspaper Clippings, 1917 - 1946
Scope and Contents
Letters to and from members of the Gregg and Beasley families of Union Springs and Opelika, Alabama, as well as newspaper clippings from the Avondale Sun circa World War II. Many of the letters are "war-time" letters for World War I and World War II, and talk about missing home and family. There is also a draft notice for a Cecil Taft Norton, dated May 3, 1945.
The Avondale Sun was the company newspaper of the Comer Cotton Mills in Alabama.
