Katherine Boggess Letters - Incoming, 1926 - 1929
Scope and Contents
Letters to and from Katherine Boggess of Louisville, Kentucky, from her father, mother (a.k.a. "Mud"), sister, and many male friends. The letters talk of family news and activities, travel plans, school work, and health. Several of the letters are love letters from three young men, Maxwell (Mac) Turner, Lowry Nicolson, and John [no last name given]. There are also letters from World War I soldiers stationed in Europe and in military camps in the United States. There is also one letter from Katherine's uncle Olin Boggess to her father. Included also are photographs, telegraphs, and a piano recital program listing Katherine and her sister Elizabeth as performers.
