Otero and Cora Brown Letters, 1913 - 1950
Scope and Contents
Letters written by various family members to Cora Brown and her husband Otero, who lived in the Illinois cities of Caledonia, Cherry Valley, Belvidere, Union, and Poplar Grove. The letters mainly contain farming and harvest news, although one letter from nephew Russell discussed how Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal policies disadvantaged small farms.
