Letter from Edith in St. Louis, Missouri, to her aunt Carrie C. Williamson of Los Angeles, California, about love and life. She requests advice from Carrie who she claims must understand her situation. Edith's boyfriend Oscar, is trying to make enough money to send for her, but as of yet does not have enough to do so. Her father has disowned her and her brothers also do not approve.
