Scope and Contents
Letters to Herman Wandtke of Toledo, Ohio, from his brother-in-law Charles Epke of Adrian Michigan. Charles signed his letters "Chas" and included his address. In a letter written on June 28, 1896, Charles asks Wandtke his opinion of presidential candidate William McKinley whom Charles doesn't like, and states that he will have to vote for Belva Lockwood, saying "she's allright". (Lockwood was an American attorney, politician, educator, and author who ran for President of the United States in 1884 and 1888.)
