Scope and Contents
Thirteen letters primarily to John and Ann Bean (Bain/Bane) of Marion County, Ohio, from relatives David and Elizabeth Mills of Dundee, Scotland, between 1828 and 1853, discussing trade, travel, deaths and births in the family, health, friends, and religion. There is also a letter to Ann from her brother, James Horn, from London, making arrangements before he embarks on a twelve-month voyage to New South Wales and India, as well as a letter to Ann from her husband, John, discussing travel arrangements.
