Homer postcard
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of one postcard, the front of which has a picture of an idealized Civil War cavalry officer wreathed in olive branches with a flag draped to one side, and the medal of the Grand Army of the Republic, with the inscription, "To My Comrade." The reverse contains a note from Homer, apparently to his sweetheart. He is entrusting the card to Carl for delivery so there is no address. Homer is thinking of her and missing her.
