General note
Description on back: 3/18/60, Dear Doc and Hazel, Took a two day field trip over the Island of Hawaii with C. K. Wentworth and several of the U.S.C.G. Volcano Lob. Staff. Visited the new eruption of Kilauea and at Kapoho on the Puna rift. It was a wonderful lesson in volcanoes. Tomorrow I finish my conferences in Honolulu then to return to Washington via jet - about a 10 hour trip. Will see you att he state geologist meeting or perhaps in Tuscaloosa before.
