General note
This photograph was enclosed with a letter from Carl Jones to W. B. Jones, October 10, 1943. Description on back: 10/3/43 - Aleutian Islands. Casting out the net trying to keep the confounded thing from getting into the rudder, the anchor chain or sowpen - Nothing seemed to help as it was always fooled - The crab refused to eat beef steak but boy did they go for salmon. We found only six salmon in a small glacier fed river but we (Langer!) got all of them - (a nice carbine was sorta helpful!).
