This collection contains correspondence written by and to Brigadier General B. L. Holt, between May and June 1908. The correspondence relates to the organization of the Confederate Veterans Reunion held in Birmingham, Alabama, on June 9-11, 1908. As the Alabama quartermaster general, it was Holt's task to secure hotel accommodations and horses for Alabama Governor Braxton Bragg Comer and members of his staff who participated in the veteran's parade and other reunion events. The letters detail his efforts to accomplish his responsibilities.
