Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
This 200-page journal includes items compiled by high school senior Marie Brink to document her experiences at Sidney Lanier High School. Most of the materials are from 1922, although there are a few earlier materials included. The collection, in a "memory book" designed and decorated by Helen A. Haselton and published by The Reilly and Lee Co., includes ephemera such as class work, report cards, commencement programs, photographs, newspaper clippings, party favors, and flowers. In addition, the journal also includes notes and good wishes written by Brink's teachers and fellow students. There are also school newspapers and playbills, as well as a number of pamphlets related to plays, concerts and other community events that Brink attended, mostly from Montgomery.
