Scope and Contents
This journal and three letters, written by Brannon between February and July 1924, describe his efforts to renovate and modernize a farm house in Wetumpka, Alabama, and his family's attempts to adjust to rural life. His brief journal entries describe the weather, farming, housework, and trips to town and church.
