Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The collection includes receipts from grocers, clothing sellers, and other Mobile merchants detailing A. L. Willoughby's personal expenditures. There also seventy-six letters, mostly relating family news, although a few letters mention Willoughby's employment at the Mobile and Ohio Railroad. The bulk of the correspondence is dated 1866-1867, although there are one or two letters written before 1866.
