Of special importance are the minutes from 1831-1854 and 1871-1922, which document not only routine faculty business but also student life and campus history. They also contain information about the life and work of enslaved persons on campus during the antebellum years. The record group contains five accessions. Each accession arrived at The University of Alabama Libraries Special Collections as a discrete group of materials. This arrangement has been retained. All of the records are open for research.
