Invitations, dance cards, etc.
Scope and Contents
The collection contains photographs, invitations, dance cards, and other memorabilia from Nancy Stallworth Shortridge, a student at the University of Alabama during the World War II years. The invitations and dance cards are primarily from fraternity or sorority dances. The photographs include a photograph of her father Claud Stallworth (who "ran the dining room at Woods Hall as was very good friends with Dr. Denny") and Johnny Mack Brown in 1937, as well as a group photograph of the Primary Class Royal Air Force cadets in Tuscaloosa in 1941. There is also a copy of the Alabama Alumni Magazine (December 1991-January 1992) covering "The University and the War Years".
