Photograph album #3 (blue)
Scope and Contents
The collection contains nine photograph albums of William F. Reekstin, a student at the University of Alabama in the early 1930s. The photographs document a variety of campus venues and activities. They include homecoming bonfires on the Quad, dances in the gymnasium, ROTC drills, and football games. One of the albums documents the football team's triumphant trip to the Rose Bowl in 1934. There are also two pictures of Mary Harmon Black who later married Paul "Bear" Bryant.
Most of the albums are not dated and most of the photographs are not identified. Some, however, are identified with either a name or a year or both.
