Scope and Contents
The collection contains one hundred twenty-three radio scripts from the Alabama State Department of Health, Division of Public Health Education. The programs, which were recorded by the directors of the Department's Division of Public Health Education, aired on Alabama radio stations from 1954 to 1956. The wide variety of health issues discussed included: polio, athlete's foot, farm accidents, diabetes, adequate nursing services, school lunchrooms, tuberculosis, and aging. Most of the scripts are three to four pages long.
