Scope and Contents
The collection contains one scrapbook, begun August 3, 1912, by Billy Lightelle, vaudeville performer, and contains receipts for payments for performances from around the United States; employment contracts from vaudeville circuit agencies, including the B. F. Keith Vaudeville Exchange, the Poli Circuit, and from Bernard Burke: Vaudeville Manager and Producer; plot synopses; photographs; newspaper clippings and programs regarding Lightelle’s own acts as well as other performers such as Dolly and Harry Parker, Billy Shirley, Bot Schafer, Professor Wheeler, Don Santos, and Baby Athlone; song lyrics and scripts; plot ideas and storylines; and two pieces of handwritten sheet music.
