Scope and Contents
Letters written by PFC Bernhart Forbau to his sister and brother-in-law, Olga and George Dellitt. Forbau wrote regularly at least once a week, and in one of his early letters (postmarked December 5, 1942) he explained how to tell where he was stationed--without the censors realizing it. It was a formula based on how the page numbers of his letters were written, and included the use of dashes, dots, and parentheses.
