Issues of the Crimson White
Scope and Contents
This collection contains four typewritten and edited drafts of James Hood's editorial that appeared in the June 27, 1963 edition of the Crimson White. Also included are six issues of the Crimson White, including the June 27th issue. Other issues include articles relating to the integration of the University of Alabama, in general, and the "Hood Matter," in particular. An open letter written by Hank Black, editor of the Crimson White in 1963, prior to his editorship, expresses his personal opposition to forced integration but states his reasons for not opposing in relation to James Hood, is also included.
