Scope and Contents

(Flair 1015)(FL-133): A single side recorded with portable equipment by Jules and Joe Bihari at the Memphis YMCA before the Ace name was adopted. Smooth, cleanly arranged slow blues credited to "Josea." Not copyrighted. Released 1953 September, after Ace was an established Duke Records star, as the "A" side of Flair 1015 (Earl Forest's "Trouble and Me" is the flip side). No chart action. For Ace record collectors, "Midnight Hours Journey" represents the most difficult single to acquire. (The "B" side is Earl Forrest's "Trouble and Me.")
