The collection consists primarily of the personal papers of Evelyn Fleming, a New Jersey native who served in the American Red Cross during World War II. The collection contains letters, greeting cards, photos, pamphlets, and other materials, most of which relate to her service in the Red Cross. There are also 183 photographs.
