Five pieces of incoming correspondence consisting of an 1892 commission from the University of Alabama; an 1892 letter written from his mother to Brumby at the University discussing life and election celebrations in Marietta; an 1899 letter from his mother to Brumby in Cincinnati, Ohio, discussing family and the social life in Marietta; a 1916 happy birthday letter from his sister Laura discussing life in Marietta; and a 1920 letter from his son “Jim Boy” discussing his life at Sewanee and asking for money for school necessities.
