From the Collection: This collection contains Palmer's diary, April-July 1865, when his Regiment, the First Ohio Light Artillery, was stationed in Tennessee and Alabama. The diary's frequent entries describe daily life in the camp, including meals, weather, and military activities. The collection also contains a photograph, ca. 1870, of several men, including Palmer, outside a store.
