Series Description
Correspondence, biographical material certificates, private club and organizations, biographical material, cards and memorabilia. (The series is divided into sub series: Correspondence, biographical material, certificates, cards, private clubs and organizations, and memorabilia.) Primarily of personal, social, and civic matters. Some political correspondence is included mainly from Joseph E. Ransdell, Senator from Louisiana. Correspondence also includes letters written to other members of the family before and after Thompson's death, post cards and telegrams and replies to invitations, (Most addressed to Biographical).
Certificates are for health and honorary appointment. Private clubs and societies include men’s clubs, country clubs, and paternal organizations. Memorabilia consists of program of events and activities in which Thompson participated. Series are arranged chronologically.
