Diary of a Pennsylvania minister and agent of the American Tract Society, while in New Orleans and Greenville, Louisiana. It includes notes on yellow fever epidemics, battles with "consumption" (tuberculosis), weather, and accounts of travels by boat in 1839 and 1846, both by ocean and up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers, then by canal to Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
