Postcard format. Postcard has been cropped and is missing some of the writing. Caption on front: Sincerely yours, Charles C. May, France, 1919. Description on back: ...the...himself...quite unexpectedly. I was much in [need] of a shave and my eyes [are] in bad shape from a cold [in] my head. Not a very military pose either but that's almost impossible...the "make up." My face looks as [though I] might have gained some we[ight] but the scales show that [the] camera deceives.
