Overview Cleophus (Cleo) Thomas Jr. is an Alabama attorney and was the first African American president of the Student Government Association at The University of Alabama. Scope and Contents Two scrapbooks containing seven black and white photographs, about 218 original or photocopied newspaper and magazine clippings, thirty-five teletype reports, and some ephemera documenting Nicholas deBelleville Katzenbach’s career and civil rights in the United States from 1962 to 1965.
