Cleophus Thomas Jr. Collection
Cleophus (Cleo) Thomas Jr. is an Alabama attorney and was the first African American president of the Student Government Association at The University of Alabama. The collection contains letters sent to Thomas by noted authors and artists, materials related to special events on The University of Alabama campus, and a map and photographs presented to politician Nicholas Katzenbach.
O. B. Emerson Papers
The collection chiefly consists of correspondence between O. B. Emerson and various individuals including authors, former students, and other faculty and staff from The University of Alabama. The collection also includes materials about different authors and subjects on which Dr. Emerson either taught or published, as well as a significant amount of materials related to professional organizations in which he was involved.
Hudson Strode Papers
Hudson Strode (1892-1976) was a literature and creative writing professor at The University of Alabama from 1916-1963, and a writer of more than a dozen nonfiction books. This collection includes correspondence, photographs, manuscripts, artifacts, prints, newspaper clippings, and other materials related to his travels and literary career.
