One letter to Reverend Hudson of Peabody, Massachusetts, from John M. Nichols of Portland, Maine, saying he (Nichols) had been appointed the principle of Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Maine, and including newspaper clippings describing the appointment. The second letter is from S. F. Kittredge to Mrs. Hudson to tell her about her trip by train to Oregon and to discuss church business.
