Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection contains scrapbooks, correspondence, compositions, and clippings of Associated Press reporter and Alabama native, Eddy Lanier King Gilmore and his Russian-born wife, Tamara Kolb-Chernashovaya, a ballerina with the Bolshoi Ballet whom he met while on assignment in Russia for the Associated Press. While the collection has some material from Gilmore's early life, the bulk of material is from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
