Scope and Contents Two letters written by William Eliott Allard of Haverhill, New Hampshire, on one sheet of paper to Mr. John Currier and Mrs. Laisey Purkins. Both letters ask about friends. He asks Currier about how the haying went and then cryptically explains that he would have liked to help but that he is in jail. He then asks Currier for fifty cents to get some tobacco.
