The collection contains the minutes and roll of Alabama's delegation, who were "accredited to the Baltimore and Richmond Democratic convention" in Richmond, Virginia, in 1860. This was Alabama's delegation to the second Democratic convention, held after the "Bolters" disrupted the first meeting in Charleston, S.C. Most delegates were pledged to Breckinridge and Lane.
