Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection contains the daily journal of the Rev. James McClung Sieg, kept during his missionary trip to the Congo in 1907 and 1908. The first ninety-two pages were written while in, or traveling around in Africa. Most of the remaining pages include his time in England or at sea on his way home. The last seven pages of the journal were written in 1910 by his wife.
