Scope and Contents

From the Series: The Professional and Organizational Materials Series contains correspondence with colleagues, materials related to grant applications, files pertaining to Urban's Fulbright activities in Poland and Canada, job evaluations, his PhD exams (1967) and a copy of his PhD dissertation from Ohio State, "Towards a new left" (1968), as well as annotated calendars spanning 1977-2015. There is a file on his appointment as the 2009-2010 Paul W. Bryant Professor of Education at The University of Alabama, along with files related to the Spencer Foundation, a supporter of education research. Many of the materials in this series are restricted, as they contain private and personally identifiable information regarding Urban and others, particularly the grant applications and evaluations.
