Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
This collection consists of one photographic album containingg 137 black-and-white photographs depicting Emmett A. Parrish's life in Panama working as military radar technician. Of particular interest are the images of the native populations of Panama and their villages, showing the people engaged in foraging and farming. In addition to the images of the native populations, the album contains images related to Parrish's work as a radar technician, which included a more than three-day journey across the Bay of Panama to a remote site on a small piece of land between the Rio Tuira and the Rio Balsas in Darien.
